Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has undoubtedly had an exceptional season, which is one of the reasons why he is considered an NFL Most Valuable Player candidate.

However, Hill is not the only one shining for the Dolphins this season. His teammate, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, is also leading the way. Hence, it is hardly surprising that Hill tried to deflect the attention of the Pro Bowl QB.

"I don't think so, man, because there have been numerous times, man, like before I even started playing football that guys been making plays or had a great season; it's a quarterback award," Hill said after practice on Friday, December 8, via SI.com. "We all know that. And if Tua (Tagovailoa) won it, I'd be happy. I'd be happier if Tua won it.

So far this season, Hill leads the league with 1,481 receiving yards through 12 games. He is also well on his way to finishing with 132 catches for 2,098 yards and 17 touchdowns, per NFL.com.

Tyreek Hill not losing sleep on the NFL MVP award

So far in his career, Hill admits that he has gotten everything he wanted, including the chance to play NFL football. Although the award would be fitting, he says that he is just bent on enjoying the ride and knows that his success is something he credits to God.

"I've gotten everything I want and I get a chance to play the game that I love. God has blessed me with that. But obviously winning the award would be icing on the cake but God has blessed me everything I got, being here in Miami., my family is enjoying life. I'm enjoying life. I'm just enjoying what every day has to offer. Couldn't ask for more," the Super Bowl champion WR said.

What are Tyreek Hill's odds in the NFL MVP race?

As of this writing, Hill is given a +1200 chance of being the 2023-24 NFL Season MVP. Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys and Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers are the frontrunners, each given a +300 per Fox Sports.

Tagovailoa is ahead of Hill in the NFL MVP race with a +800. These are subject to change, likely depending on how far the Miami Dolphins will go this season.
