The ex-wife of former NBA star Allen Iverson is seeking a restraining order against the Hall of Fame bound guard, hoping it will aid her in gaining payment on at least $225,000 she claims she is owed by virtue of their split.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tawanna Iverson filed her application in Fulton County last Friday, where her attorneys told the court Iverson is expected to receive a lump sum payment of nearly a half-million dollars from Reebok sometime in January.

Since their divorce earlier this year, Iverson has "repeatedly and willfully violated" the court's final order, the suit alleges, also claiming violations include a "failure to make the property division awards," and non-compliance with "alcohol, therapy and parenting-related provisions."

Tawanna Iverson further alleges she is due some $225,000 and asks the court to intercept the Reebok payment so she can collect on the outstanding debt. In addition, her attorneys have requested that the money be paid directly to her or that the court "restrain him from using or otherwise disposing of" the funds. The couple has five children together.

The 38-year-old Iverson recently announced his NBA retirement and is scheduled to be feted by the Philadelphia 76ers during a formal ceremony later this season.
