With the NFL trade deadline ticking, the struggling New England Patriots could be sellers, with almost everyone possibly being dealt out. In fact, any potential New England Patriots trade may involve quarterback Mac Jones.
The Pats currently hold a 2-6 win-loss NFL record. Their latest loss came at the hands of the Miami Dolphins, 31-17, on Sunday, October 29, CBS News reported.
With Jones possibly moving to a new team for the struggling NFL team, the 25-year-old said he is trying to focus on his current team and avoid the distractions, Masslive.com reported.
"My biggest thing, as I just talked about, is 'Hey, what can I do this week to become better? How can I improve some of the things I didn't do well the week before, and then be consistent with the things I did well," the Pro Bowl play-caller stated when he spoke on WEEI's "Jones & Mego" show.
Although most expected him to thrive under head coach Bill O'Brien, Jones has struggled. He has been prone to errors, which has been costly for the Pats. The 15th overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft shared his true feelings about his inconsistency.
"It happens in a lot of NFL games but at the end of the day, just because of one play, it's not over," Jones explained. "You gotta keep playing."
Jones to Vikings?
With a Mac Jones trade a possibility, a team that could make sense for him would be the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings lost Kirk Cousins for the season due to a torn Achilles, USA Today reported. Now, there are suggestions that the Florida native could be an option for Minnesota, ESPN reported.
