The world's top and legendary personalities in combat sports came together in Saudi Arabia to witness the boxing match between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury.
With those people in one corner of the world and with the trend of "money fights," it is not impossible that a fight between icons from different sports worlds has been chalked up.
There's one underway by April 2024 if Conor McGregor's revelation from Saudi Arabia pushes through.
The Irish fighter shared that he is looking to step foot in the boxing ring again after his profitable 2017 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Who will his opponent be? No other than Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao, who was also in Saudi over the weekend.
Saudi crown prince helping to make the fight happen
The Saudi Arabian government is transforming into a major world sports hub with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman getting involved during transactions.
McGregor revealed that Saudi's top official is also hands-on with his potential fight with Pacquiao.
He added that his fight with Pacman almost took place long before Ngannou and Fury agreed to a showdown.
"His excellency (Mohammad bin Salman) set myself and Manny Pacquiao together," he said.
"There was a discussion, it was close for us to fight in Saudi Arabia about two or three years ago now."
Right now, McGregor insisted that his priority right now is mixed martial arts, even teasing that the fight could happen in Saudi, too.
"Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom and UFC have a deal so it's growing. I'm up for anything."
