Former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming was among the personalities spotted during the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers matchup on Wednesday, October 25.

The 7-foot-6 Chinese player had a front-row seat at the Barclays Center to see the game although it did not particularly sit well for the person seated next to Yao.

The photo was snapped by a fan showing Yao Ming’s huge frame blocking the view of an unlucky fan from behind.

Fans pay a steep price for seats that are closer to the action. Although the captured photo does not show the people behind Yao complaining, it ended up being the worst view any paying fan could get.

As for the game itself, the Cavaliers won over the Nets, 114-113. Donovan Mitchell and Max Strus led the Cavs with 27 points each in the win.

Cam Thomas led the Nets in that loss with 36 points along with three rebounds.

Donovan Mitchell to the rescue

Despite Thomas' huge scoring night, it was Mitchell who provided the lift for the Cavaliers. He hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 12.1 seconds remaining that lifted Cleveland to its first win of the season.

“The thing about our team is that we’re really resilient,” Mitchell said. “When the games are close ... you have to be locked in defensively. For me, when it’s time, just kind of picking my spots and kind of getting to where I wanted to.”

Cam Thomas enters NBA record books

Despite the loss, Thomas had a consolation of sorts. His 36-point output set a league record for most points by a reserve player in a season opener, the Associated Press noted.
