The Toronto Raptors will come to the new season with renewed hope after tweaking its lineup over the summer.
However, for Patrick Beverley, fans may have to temper their expectations because he does not think the Raptors are scary enough.
The reason? The lack of dogs amongst these dinosaurs.
"Who's the dog of that team," the Philadelphia 76ers point guard said in his podcast "The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone."
"I'm not disrespecting anybody, but it's nothing that I'm like afraid of."

Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby are now the young squad's de facto leaders, but PatBev does not see the two as scary opponents.
"If I see [Pascal] Siakam or [OG] Anunoby down a dark alley, I don't feel threatened," he added.
What does "dog" mean anyway? Getting referred to as a dog means you are the type who is scrappy, aggressive, and never backs down.
Siakam lays down goals for self, team
The two-time NBA All-Star knows a thing or two about being underrated, climbing his way up as a 27th overall draft pick who spent time in the G-League to becoming a two-time NBA All-Star.
This season, he will chase wins for his team, not just for himself.
"One thing people always talk about is, Is it not fun? Was last year fun? Winning is fun," Pascal Siakam said Sunday.
"At the end of the day, if you win, you are going to have good vibes. If you don't, the vibe is not going to be good most of the time."
