The Orlando Magic have two huge names on their roster: Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Both are still in their early 20s, so it may be understandable that the investment in the two young cagers will take time.

However, NBA veteran Patrick Beverley is not so forgiving. The 35-year-old questioned how the Magic is struggling to win games despite having two players listed in the Top 100 in the annual NBA player rankings for 2023-24 as released by ESPN.

"If you got two people in the Top 100 on your team, the Orlando Magic, you should be winning games," Beverley said. "If you have two people that are under the Top 50, you should make the f--king playoffs. Why are you so bad? If everyone on the team is nice, why are you so bad?" Beverley said on "The Pat Bev Podcast."

Aside from that, the current Philadelphia 76ers guard questions how Banchero and Wagner made it to the list. But a look at the statistics of both players justified all that, per Bleacher Report.

Stats don't lie

Wagner averaged 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 80 games last season, while Banchero averaged 20 points, 6.9 boards, and 3.7 dimes across 72 games.

While those numbers are glaring, the reality is that these were not enough to help the Magic win games and advance to the playoffs.

Beverley is no stranger to speaking his mind. As for Banchero, Wagner, and the Magic, they could be motivated to prove the 2017 NBA Hustle Award winner wrong.
