The Los Angeles Chargers have bounced back from their ugly start to the season with two straight wins against the Minnesota Vikings and the Las Vegas Raiders.

However, just when things clicked for them, a setback happened after Justin Herbert injured his hand in a Week 4 match against the Raiders.

The Chargers enjoyed their bye week in Week 5, but it was not enough for Herbert's hand to fully recover. The 25-year-old plans to play through pain when they meet the Dallas Cowboys for Week 6.

He spent the bye week treating his hand injury, although he also said he did not see any specialists.

"Whether I was running the ball or whether I was throwing the ball, I felt pretty comfortable out there," he said.

"I think there's so much going on during the game that you're probably not going to be worrying about it too much. I think you're just going to be worried about not getting tackled or not taking those hits."

Coach Brandon Staley not worried about Herbert

Fans will also find coach Brandon Staley's statement on Herbert encouraging.

Staley suggested there won't be major changes in their game plan, and Herbert will still be there to lead the team.

"He's a player out there and he's going to do what's best for himself," he said. "He's going to continue to be aggressive but it's a much different injury than the one he had just last year."
