The Minnesota Vikings are not doing so well, and now pundits wonder if Kirk Cousins will consider tweaking his contract and waiving his no-trade clause.
The 35-year-old quarterback, given his team's current predicament, appeared to be in no mood to discuss that when he spoke to reporters via NFL news reporter Ari Meirov.

"You know, I'm just very focused on the Bears and going 1-0 this week," Cousins said on Wednesday, October 11, via NFL.com. "Anything else is just not worth my time or energy or attention."

The four-time Pro Bowler is in the final year of his deal with the Vikings, and there is no telling what he plans to do when that runs out.
Cousins has been performing well this NFL season, but his efforts have so far gone for naught. Given his run, the Illinois native could opt for a fresh start with a new team if he waives his no-trade clause.
This could also be beneficial to the Vikings should a trade happen. Unless Minnesota turns things around, a Kirk Cousins trade could give the NFL team a chance to rebuild with new assets.
Kirk Cousins' efforts going to waste
Considering what Cousins has done for the Vikings in his 12 seasons in the league, Minnesota will likely want a huge return for him.
Kirk Cousins has led the Minnesota Vikings twice to the NFL playoffs, SI.com noted. However, the team has failed to advance beyond the divisional round.
So far this NFL season, the 35-year-old has accumulated 1,498 passing yards and a league-leading 13 passing touchdowns with just four interceptions.
It will be interesting to see how the Minnesota Vikings will adjust this NFL season. Unless they get back on the winning track, expect more NFL trade chatter in the coming weeks.
