Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams has been on the team's injury reserve since the start of the 2023 NFL season due to a hamstring injury. However, head coach Sean McVay hints that the 30-year-old could return to action soon.

McVay addressed the Cooper Kupp situation at a press conference in what was deemed Robert Burgundy fashion via Adam Schefter of ESPN.

"[The injury report] says he's limited, but he's not going to be limited." McVay continued, "He's going through a normal practice. We'll see how he's feeling and progress him as the week goes," the 37-year-old coach stated.

Kupp is set to attend Rams' team practice on Wednesday, October 4, where he will be limited according to an injury report, ESPN reported. However, McVay expects the 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year to follow the usual practice.

"He said he's feeling really good," McVay said before Rams practice. "I trust him. He's a guy that really knows his body really well, very experienced player and so there'll be an ongoing dialogue."

The Rams coach, however, cautioned that they will be smart in easing Kupp back into the fold. It will be recalled that he injured his hamstring at training camp back in August, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"We want to be smart as we kind of ramp up his workload throughout the course of the week with the goal of him being ready to go and we'll see exactly what that looks like as the week progresses," McVay explained.

The Rams are 2-2 this season following their win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. They will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 at the SoFi Stadium on Sunday, October 8.
