The Baltimore Orioles are planning to stay at the Oriole Park in Camden Yards for a long time.
The team announced on the scoreboard between innings during their game against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday, September 28, that the Orioles and Maryland Governor Wes Moore have come to terms on a fresh 30-year lease agreement, ensuring that the team will continue to call Camden Yards their home.
The new lease comes as the current one was on track to expire at the end of this year on December 31.
"The Baltimore Orioles are an institution and an irreplaceable member of the collective family that makes up Charm City," Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said in a statement.
The agreement also includes a provision for two five-year options, potentially extending the Orioles' tenure at Camden Yards into the 2060s.
The team has been based in Baltimore since 1954, and they have played in Camden Yards since the 1992 season.

Baltimore Orioles clinch American League East
There were a lot of reasons to celebrate in Baltimore on Thursday evening, and one of them was the Orioles clinching the American League East division for the first time in nearly a decade with a 2-0 win against the Red Sox, putting their win-loss record at 100-59.
After making their last postseason appearance since 2016, the Orioles are returning to play for the World Series two years following losing 110 games in a single season in 2021, completing a remarkable turnaround.
