Grayson Allen was one of the players who found himself moving to a new team in connection with the Damian Lillard trade. The 27-year-old shooting guard was shipped to the Phoenix Suns, his fourth NBA team since entering the league in 2018.
Rather than sulk, the former Duke Blue Devil appeared to take his move in stride. He replied to a previous post that was put up last September 5 regarding his jersey number change.
On the serious side, it will be interesting to see how Allen will perform with his new team. He holds career averages of 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, per Basketball-Reference.com.
Although he has sometimes proven effective, consistency has been the big question. But with a stellar cast, the 21st overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft may best help out on the defensive end.
Allen is no stranger to rough plays that date back to his Duke playing days.
In the NBA, his favorite team appears to be the Chicago Bulls. He is considered a villain in Chicago, having a colorful history with Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan of the Chicago Bulls, the New York Post noted.
Like it or not, the Suns are stuck with Allen
Ironically, this is not the first time Allen has been linked to the Suns. In February, his name cropped up in trade rumors involving Jae Crowder.
However, the Suns were allegedly not too keen on getting Allen and preferred someone else, Brian Windhorst of ESPN suggested.
