New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone got honest about his uncertain future with the team after they were officially eliminated from postseason contention for the first time since 2016.
The 50-year-old tactician spoke on Monday, September 25, ahead of their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and he was asked if the team had already informed whether he would return for the 2024 season.
"I don't worry about it. It's out of my hands. I'm completely comfortable with who I am and the things I can control," Boone said.
The Yankees manager added that he is doing everything to help the franchise head into the offseason prepared and in a better position to try and compete for a World Series championship.
"That's what the goal is, and until they take that away, that's my focus," the former Yankees player quipped.
