Colorado football's Shedeur Sanders got his share of roughhousing in their blowout loss, 42-6, to the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, September 23. However, this will not stop the 21-year-old Buffaloes quarterback moving forward.
Shedeur Sanders has been the talk of the town after the Buffaloes 3-0 start. Given his stellar showing, there was no doubt that he was a prime target for the Ducks.
The 21-year-old son of Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders had his share of tackles on Saturday after failing to get the needed support, especially with Travis Hunter absent.
However, Sanders did not make Travis Hunter's absence an excuse when he spoke to Ross Dellener of Yahoo Sports.
"That's not the reason we didn't win," Sanders quipped.
But like his father, Shedeur Sanders won't let one loss discourage him. Instead, the Heisman trophy hopeful is expected to strive even more, with the Buffaloes expected to face stiffer challenges moving forward.
Deion Sanders issues stern warning
While Buffs coach Deion Sanders is aware that his boys did not exactly play up to par, he did vow that this would be the worst most will see of Colorado Buffaloes football.
In response to critics questioning their confidence level following that loss to the Ducks, the 56-year-old said via Fox News, "People around the country would say, 'This is what they needed to humble themselves.' We weren't arrogant or whatever, we're confident people."
Sanders added, "If our confidence offends your insecurity, that's a problem with you, it's not us."
The Buffaloes try to get back on track when they face the USC Trojans on Saturday, September 30.
