A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles quashed any insinuations that all was not well with him and teammate Jalen Hurts.

At the start of the fourth quarter of their Week 2 assignment against the Minnesota Vikings, Brown and Hurts were jawing, requiring the intervention of Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, NJ.com reported.

Now with cooler heads, Brown cleared the air and made it clear that there was no friction between him and Hurts, ESPN reported.

"This is a game that we both love, and I want everybody to understand that sometimes emotions run high. That doesn't mean it's the end of the world. That doesn't mean I'm beefing with Jalen," the 26-year-old wide receiver said.

Before Brown gave his side on the incident, Hurts targeted the wide receiver three times, including on a 25-yard touchdown pass nullified by a penalty.

Other Philadelphia Eagles players believed that the two-time Pro Bowler got frustrated since he was not involved in the offense.

A.J. Brown addressed that as well via the Miami Herald.

Were there targets?

"Also, I want y'all to know, no, it was not about targets. I'm sure that everybody thought that because he threw me the ball three plays in a row afterwards. But no, I was not over there discussing targets or whatever the case might be. It was something that happened earlier and we were having a discussion about it. So I know everybody took that out of context, but it's not a big deal," the former Ole Miss Rebel pointed out.

Brown and Hurts go a long way. Both have held a close relationship since high school, so arguments like these resulting from tense moments are likely.

Regardless, the Eagles prepare for their Week 3 opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on Sunday, September 24, USA Today reported. The Eagles are favored to prevail over the Bucs.
