Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders is aware that there are fans who may go a bit overboard and will not tolerate those who go as far as making death threats.

Coach Prime called out those who were giving Colorado State Rams defensive back Henry Blackburn for his hit on Travis Hunter in their game last weekend, per David Ubben of The Athletic.

"He does not deserve a death threat over a game. ... I forgive him. Our team forgives him. Travis has forgiven him. Let's move on," Sanders said.

The Buffs coach admitted that he gets his share of death threats. But to send threats to a young and promising player is not good, per Matt Fortuna, the founder of The Inside Zone.

"Let's pray for that kid, man. That's absurd, for people to be threatening him. I don't mind getting death threats. I get them every week. But a kid, that's not good," the 56-year-old said.

Sanders acknowledges that Blackburn is a good player. The hit he made on Hunter was unfortunate and dirty in the eyes of most. But at the end of the day, Coach Prime feels the Colorado State senior was just playing the game and does not deserve the death threats he is getting, ESPN reported.

Colorado State probing Blackburn threats

Colorado State campus police are reportedly looking into the death threats that Blackburn has been receiving. Rams coach Jay Norvell commented on the threats in a news conference on Monday via the Denver Post.

"It's just sad. It's sad that that's the state of the world we live in. I mean, it's a football game, let's not make it more than that. We don't want anybody to get hurt. We don't coach that kind of football," the 60-year-old Rams coach stated.
