Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a horrific left knee injury during their Week 2 Monday Night Football game on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Acrisure Stadium.
The 27-year-old picked up the injury early in the second quarter after Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick tackled him down low while attempting to rush to the end zone.
Chubb's knee snapped badly after the tackle, which also caused Fitzpatrick to stay on the ground for a while.
The ESPN broadcast team did not show a replay of how the injury occurred due to the gruesome nature of what happened.
The former Georgia player had 10 rushes for 64 yards before the Browns announced that he had been ruled out for the remainder of the game with a knee injury.
NFL Network insider Jordan Schultz reported that the four-time Pro Bowl selection's season could be over, as the Browns fear that he may have sustained a possible knee dislocation, potentially with multiple ligament damages.
Chubb previously dislocated his left knee and tore his MCL, PCL, and LCL with cartilage damage in October 2015 vs. Tennessee during his college career.
