The Philadelphia Phillies are hardly affected by the fact that JT Realmuto is struggling this MLB season. Regardless, there is time to spare, and the three-time All-Star could figure it out soon.

The 32-year-old was hardly any help against the St. Louis Cardinals as the Phillies lost, 6-5, at the Busch Stadium. Regardless of the outcome, Philly won the series over the Cardinals, MLB.com reported.

However, Realmuto knows the Phillies could benefit from him if he were his usual self. He is batting .248 with 18 home runs, 56 RBIs, and a .755 OPS this MLB season, numbers that are pretty off for a two-time Golden Glove Award winner.

"I just haven't been able to find a groove for a consistent amount of time like I usually do," Realmuto explained. "Confidence comes when you get hits and barrel the ball up. I feel like, even when I've felt good at the plate, I've had a lot of hard outs. I just haven't been able to build off that."

Phillies can afford to wait

Despite Realmuto's struggles, the Phillies have managed to stay afloat. They are positioned to win the No. 1 Wild Card and hold a three-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the standings.

With Philadelphia holding all the cards, all that the Phillies need to do is ensure they have the momentum entering the postseason.

The Philadelphia Phillies will next face the Atlanta Braves in a three-game series, NBC Sports reported.
