Mac Jones of the New England Patriots will be looking to redeem himself after a subpar 2022-23 NFL season starting in Week 1 as they open the new season against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Gillette Stadium.
However, the Patriots vs. Eagles game will not be the only focus on Sunday. The Pats reportedly plan to honor Tom Brady, the retired player who delivered six Super Bowl titles to New England.
Jones admitted that Brady played a huge role in his NFL evolution when he spoke on WEEI's Jones and Mego with Arcand.
Mac Jones reveals that Tom Brady is his mentor and says, “He’s definitely a legend, and I have all the respect for him. He’s a great guy; he’s actually helped me a lot already, just talking to him or whatever, and he’s been a great mentor and stuff.” pic.twitter.com/2lAQ0hdLtY

Tom Brady ceremony details
The Tom Brady ceremony will reportedly occur at halftime of the Patriots vs. Eagles matchup, according to Kraft Sports & Entertainment COO Jim Nolan in an interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Zolak & Bertrand."
"What I can say is it's going to be a halftime ceremony, just so fans know," Nolan bared in a report by NBC Sports. "We would anticipate the fans seeing him somewhere on the field pregame. That's about all I have for you guys today."
