Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay has officially ruled out Cooper Kupp and will miss the team's Week 1 assignment against the Seattle Seahawks.
Kupp was limited to only nine games last season due to an ankle injury. He ended the 2022-23 NFL season with 75 catches for 812 yards and six touchdowns.
The Super Bowl LVI wide receiver continues to deal with a hamstring injury that started in the offseason.
Making matters worse is that the 30-year-old player could be placed on the injured reserve when the new NFL season starts.

The latest on Kupp is that he was in Minnesota on Monday, September 4, to visit a specialist to determine the root cause of his hamstring injury, Fox News reported.
Until Kupp and the Rams figure out the reason for the setback in the wide receiver's recovery, McVay will have to make do with the players who are ready for NFL action.
"I think you just move forward, and you have to be able to operate with the situation and the guys we do have, and if he's able to go, then that's outstanding for us, and if not, then that's kind of how we've been operating," the Rams coach rued in a report by ESPN.
Mcvay is expected to turn to Van Jefferson and Tutu Atwell as the Los Angeles Rams receivers, at least for Week 1. Other players that must step up include tight end Tyler Higbee and quarterback Matthew Stafford against the Seahawks.
