NBA superstars Kevin Durant and Draymond Green are among the millions rooting for Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The former Golden State Warriors teammates witnessed the Americans' loss to Lithuania and provided the necessary encouragement for the United States to win.

Durant and Green are no strangers to winning, and both took to social media to give Team USA added motivation to bring home the gold.

The first post came from Green. The 33-year-old said he was looking forward to seeing Team USA, led by his Golden State coach, Steve Kerr, win it all.

That Draymond Green Twitter post would be retweeted by Kevin Durant, egging the Americans to bring home another gold.

Huge bounce-back win for Team USA against Italy

The United States bounced back with a vengeance on Tuesday, September 5, against Italy, demolishing the Italians 100-63. It was a much-needed win following the flak they received in their shock loss to Lithuania, 110-104, on Sunday, September 3, FIBA.com reported.

Mikal Bridges, the same player involved in that Kevin Durant trade between the Phoenix Suns and the Brooklyn Nets, led Team USA with 24 points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes of action. Tyrese Haliburton added 18 markers, five assists, and four rebounds to back up Bridges.

The Americans secured one of the FIBA semifinal slots and await the winner of the Germany vs. Latvia match set to be played on Wednesday, September 6.
