Blake Griffin is one of the notable names waiting in NBA free agency, and no team has come close to giving the former top pick and NBA Slam Dunk champion a contract.

The six-time All-Star has seen a dramatic change in his role. From being a starter, the 2011 NBA Rookie of the Year became a role player. His last stint was with the Boston Celtics, wherein he averaged a measly 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Regardless, Blake Griffin got acclimatized to his role and proved he could be a reliable veteran who can provide any team spot minutes.

"He never makes it about himself, and it's contagious... we're all very fortunate to have him as a teammate," Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum said about the burly forward via NBC Boston.

Griffin could be of use to NBA teams strapped for cash

Although Blake Griffin's NBA career appears to be diminishing by the day, he remains someone who can provide quality minutes at a bargain. Several teams could use the 6-foot-9 cager.

For now, it remains to be seen if Blake Griffin can sign a new lease, likely a veteran's minimum.

Aside from the Celtics, Griffin has also played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, and the Brooklyn Nets. He is best known for winning the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk contest, but his spate of injuries through the years has significantly slowed him down.

Although the Celtics are reportedly open to reuniting with Griffin, another potential landing spot is the Golden State Warriors. It would be nostalgic since it would reunite him with former Clippers teammate Chris Paul.
