The Denver Broncos need to do better this NFL season, and several departments could be improved.

One of them is their pass rush game. They ended up 26th in pressure percentage and tied for 23rd in sacks for the 2022-23 NFL season.

Denver has been trying to resolve that, working on it and turning to their coaches to help. The offseason hardly showed improvement, although the Broncos attempted to add some players from the NFL Draft, Frank Clark and Jacob Martin, to address it.

Compounding their woes was the placement of Baron Browning on the PUP to start the NFL season. Nik Bonitto is tasked to step up, although it may be wise for the Broncos to skim the free-agent market for potential help.

Melvin Ingram could help improve pass rush game

One name that has been suggested is Melvin Ingram. The three-time Pro Bowler performed well with the Miami Dolphins last season, starting in three games where he recorded six sacks.

Aside from this, the 34-year-old also had 22 tackles and recovered a fumble for a touchdown, Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report detailed.

Ingram can still play at a high level

The NFL veteran continues to be a free agent as of this writing. Despite his age, he is seen as someone who can still play at a high level, something that Brad Spielberger of PFF batted.

"Ingram has been a pillar of consistency in the NFL, recording nine straight seasons with a 70.0-plus pass-rush grade," Spielberger stated.

Ingram is likely expected to command a high price from the Dolphins or any NFL team interested in him. For Denver, it may be in their best interest to consider the 18th pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, even for just a short-term lease.
