The Los Angeles Rams will be a team to watch in the latter stages of the 2023-24 NFL season. Currently toting a 2-6 win-loss record, the team may pull off a deal unless their fortunes change.

The Rams are slowly feeling the effects of winning the Super Bowl two years ago. The current NFL season has not exactly been pretty for Los Angeles. So unless they can show signs of life and turn things around, they may have to give up some big assets, such as defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Is Donald serious about retirement?

One player that the Rams may consider moving is Donald. The 32-year-old has pondered retirement in the past, and there is no telling if the woeful season of the Rams could push him to call it a career.

Donald brushed off any retirement insinuations last year, particularly when he suffered a major injury that required surgery. He is the only remaining remnant of that Super Bowl LVI champion team.

"You never want to end your career the way it kind of was last year, so it never really crossed my mind," the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year said back in May.

Keep or Trade Aaron Donald?

Given that the Rams have sent players like Jalen Ramsey, Bobby Wagner, and Leonard Floyd away after their Super Bowl win a couple of years ago, will Donald be the next to go?

The 2014 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is only in the second year of his three-year $95 million deal with the Rams. But if Los Angeles continues to sputter, the potential scenario of seeing Donald moved to another NFL team is a huge probability, Mike Floro of Pro Football Talk suggests.
