Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is destined for greatness, that is, if he can keep his mind on playing basketball and tone down his off-court antics.
Regardless of what the 24-year-old guard has been into, bungling the chance to earn big and cement your place among the NBA greats would be foolish.
As things stand now, the second overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft is pegged to have a net worth of $50 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Considering he is only in his fourth year in the pro ranks, Morant stands to earn big bucks - not only from playing NBA ball but from endorsements as well.

Morant getting one huge contract after another
Given that he has evolved into a legitimate NBA star, filling in his resume with one accolade after another, it is no surprise that Morant currently owns a huge contract.
After starting the league with a two-year deal worth $17.8 million in 2019, those incrementally jumped. That included a fully guaranteed four-year contract extension worth $39.6 million in 2021.
But the biggest hop in the two-time All-Star's contract earnings came in September 2022. He signed a five-year $193 million maximum rookie contract extension, numbers that could still shoot up and bonuses that could pad his pay if he achieves more milestones.
Morant endorsements add to riches
This early, Morant has already caught the attention of two known companies - Powerade and Nike.
He signed a five-year deal with Powerade, which pays him $10 million annually. Unfortunately, because of his gun-brandishing controversy, Coca-Cola put his ad campaigns on hold, Ad Age reported.
Thankfully, Nike was not as strict. When Morant's Ja 1 "Hunger" sneakers, priced at $110 each, came out in May, the kicks allegedly sold out in a matter of minutes, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Aside from Powerade and Nike, Morant also had endorsement deals with Wendy's, BODYARMOR, Uber Eats, PSD, and Hyperice.
Morant's Real Estate investments
The 2022 NBA Most Improved Player owns several mansions in Eads, Tennessee. The first was the property worth $1.3 million he bought for his parents.
When Morant got the huge 2022 contract extension, he bought another property near his parent's place, a reportedly 13,836 square feet mansion with seven bedrooms, among other luxury amenities. The property was pegged to be worth around $3 million.
Morant's lavish car collection
Morant is no different from other male athletes who love to collect cars. Among the vehicles he owns reportedly include a Rolls Royce Dawn worth around $1 million. Aside from this, the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year also owns an Aston Martin Vantage, a Mercedes-Benz A-Class, a Porsche Cayenne, and a Ferrari Roma.
Morant needs to keep it together
In his young NBA career, Morant needs to be wise moving forward. He will be missing 25 games for the 2023-24 season without pay, a result of his activities off the court, ESPN reported.
He is undergoing counseling to help him deal with stress better. It will be a tough road back for the former Murray State Racer but a critical one if he wants to sustain his life of luxury.
