Jimmy Garoppolo knows how it feels to be displaced in the NFL. Ironically, the same guy who eased him out as the starting quarterback with the San Francisco 49ers finds himself in the same predicament.
The 31-year-old got his share of flak, especially in the final year of his deal with the Niners in 2022. For those who followed the 2022 NFL season of the 49ers, Lance was supposed to be the new face of the franchise.
Unfortunately, the 23-year-old suffered a season-ending injury after playing in only two games. Garoppolo got his starting job back, only to see his season also cut short after suffering a foot injury in Week 13
Garoppolo and Lance found themselves trying to pick up the pieces, hoping to re-calibrate their NFL careers. Garoppolo is with the Las Vegas Raiders, while Lance hopes to rediscover himself as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

The elder Garoppolo believes Lance still has a shot at showing his true talent when he appeared on the NFL Network's NFL Total Access. All he needs is the right timing and playing time to unleash all that.
"Everyone has their own path and everything like that. It's never going to be easy, but it's how you come out the other end of it. So I'm always excited for him, man. He's a brother of mine. Always pulling for him," the veteran play-caller stated.
Garoppolo believes Lance could flourish if he fits into the right system. Niners coach Kyle Shanahan used a rigid system so a change in scenery in plays could work to the advantage of the former North Dakota State Bison product.
