Fresh off his landmark negotiations in the Robinson Cano to the Seattle Mariners, Roc Nation Sports founder Jay Z has been cleared of any wrongdoing in his recruitment of rookie NFL quarterback Geno Smith.

According to USA TODAY Sports, The NFL Player's Association has ruled the hip hop legend did not circumvent the league's so-called "runner rule," which prohibits non-certified agents from attending introductory meetings with potential clients, in the firm's recruitment of Smith.

League rules further stipulate all such meetings must take place at the agent's place of business and is limited to one per potential client and the agent's uncertified business associates.

Jay Z drew the ire of rival agents and the attention of top league officials when he rapped in his song La Familia from his recent album Magna Carta Holy Grail "NFL investigations, oh don't make me laugh. FBI investigation, we stood up to that."

In a deal that is generating much buzz for Roc Nation, Cano bolted the Yankees for the Mariners this week in a deal that is expected to earn him at least $240 million over the next 10 years. during its such infancy, Roc Nation has also already inked such high-profile clients as Kevin Durant, Victor Cruz, and the WNBA's Skylar Diggins.
