The San Antonio Spurs are looking to grow their business and improve team amenities just before the beginning of the Victor Wembanyama era.

The team is preparing to move to its new world-class facility, the $500 million mixed-use The Rock at La Cantera campus, which will feature an array of restaurants, bars, as well as work and entertainment spaces by the start of training camp.

The 500,000 square feet complex will house the new Spurs practice facility called the Victory Capital Performance Center, which is among the world's most advanced training centers.

"It's kind of the first in the NBA as far as a concept where we're developing a membership-only affinity club," Spurs team executive Phil Cullen said.

The campus will also have a human performance research center and a medical and commercial space, per local news outlet K-SAT.

Other amenities inside the performance center are state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pools and courts with nearly the same dimensions and acoustics as the current one.

New arena on the horizon?

Following the increased revenue that Wembanyama could bring, the Spurs are reportedly looking to build a new home arena.

The potential new arena could be built side-by-side with a new baseball stadium for the minor league team San Antonio Missions, which the Spurs' ownership group also holds a stake at.

The team's current home arena is changing its name from AT&T Center to Front Bank Center, ending a 15-year association with the telecommunications company in exchange for the local-based bank. The Spurs' lease in the building expires in 2032.
