Los Angeles Rams superstar Cooper Kupp sustained a hamstring injury during team practice early Tuesday night, which caused him to leave the session early, a team source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The 30-year-old underwent an MRI on his hamstring to see the extent of the injury, but it looks like nothing serious has happened.
The Rams will take a cautious approach with their star, but a source said that Kupp could return for scrimmages in a few weeks. Quarterback Matthew Stafford did not see what happened on the field, while head coach Sean McVay was told Kupp "came up a little bit in a red zone route."
Kupp had an incredible 2021 season, where he led the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and receiving touchdowns (16) while keeping his elite performance in the postseason by having 33 catches for 468 yards and six touchdowns in four games.
The wide receiver led the Rams to the Super Bowl LVI, where they beat the Cincinnati Bengals. Kupp was named the Super Bowl MVP after scoring the game-winning touchdown.

Cooper Kupp missed a significant chunk of the 2022 season to an injury
The Rams were not able to defend their title in the 2022 season, going 5-12 and missing the playoffs.
Kupp only played in nine games last year after suffering a high-ankle sprain in a Week 10 27-17 loss against the Arizona Cardinals. The injury required surgery, and he wasn't able to return for the rest of the season.
