Joe Burrow is credited for changing the culture within the Cincinnati Bengals as its 2020 no. 1 overall draft pick.

Carolina Panthers might experience the same if their No. 1 overall draft pick Bryce Young blossoms into the player that Burrow is.

Tight end Hayden Hurst thinks Young could achieve that explaining he already saw shades of Burrow in the 22-year-old quarterback after only a few practices with the team.

"He's not going to be the rah-rah, screamer type of kid," Hurst said when asked to elaborate on his Burrow comparison of Young.

"He's going to go about his business a certain way. ... He's not in your face. He's not screaming. He's in there watching film every day."

The Bengals experienced a five-year playoff drought until Burrow's second year. His team is now projected to be the top Super Bowl contender this season and in the years to come.

The Panthers have not made the playoffs since 2017. The parallelism is indeed there.

Young impressed teammates in rookie talent show

Taking the team to a new level might be a huge pressure for a rookie, but his veteran teammates are ready to guide him.

He also appears ready to take the spotlight after his performance during the team's rookie talent show.

"He's smart, funny and those things carry over to the field," wide receiver DJ Chark said.

"The moment never gets too big or too intense because you have that relationship and things like that."

Young himself is aware of the expectations attached to his name and game.

"Lofty expectations aren't something new," Young said told ESPN.

"I've always taken the same approach. Whatever people are talking about, it is what it is. It's stuff that I can't control."
