The Miami Heat are increasingly getting frustrated due to the slow progress of their pursuit of Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, according to league insider Chris B. Haynes.

The Trail Blazers have told the Heat to bring them their best offer, while the recent NBA Finals runner-up responded by asking what exactly Portland wants.

"Heat feel like things could be moving quicker if Portland said exactly what they want," Haynes added.

It will be three weeks since Lillard submitted a request for a trade to Portland management as soon as free agency started, after spending 11 seasons with the team.

The member of NBA's Greatest 75 Players said that he only prefers the Miami Heat as his next destination, while a source said that he might not report if he is dealt to a different place other than South Beach.

No rush in completing the Damian Lillard deal

The timeline for completing a trade for Lillard could take weeks or even months from now, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Trail Blazers are willing to wait until the Heat offers their best assets or package. They are not desperate to get the deal done and are looking for the best possible return for the franchise's all-time leading scorer.

Meanwhile, Miami knows that the market is not keen on paying $58 million and $63 million for Lillard's age 35 and 36 seasons, using it as their leverage to get the deal done soon.
