Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant has welcomed fellow superstars, rapper Drake and actor Michael B. Jordan as part of a new investor group in Major League Pickleball's (MLP) Brooklyn Aces.

The group purchasing the stake includes many more entrepreneurs such as UnitedMasters and Translation founder and CEO Steve Stoute; CityPickle co-founders Mary Cannon and Erica Desai; LionTree Chairman and CEO Aryeh Bourkoff and Managing Director Alex Michael; Baby2Baby Co-CEO Kelly Sawyer Patricof, among others, according to Boardroom.

Aces majority owner Rich Kleiman is thrilled to have the group of investors join the pickleball team as they continue to grow the team and raise the prominence of Major League Pickleball as a whole.

"Our investor group includes some of the savviest entrepreneurs in the business, and having this network on our cap table positions us to be successful," Kleiman added.

LeBron James also invested in Major League Pickleball

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the United States, growing 159 percent over the last three years, according to CNN.

The game is a racquet sport similar to tennis and ping pong but with specific variations in equipment and playing surface. The game has gained popularity for its short learning curve and low starting costs.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James also invested in the MLP to purchase a team back in October 2022.
