Errol Spence Jr. boldly claimed what would happen with the winner of his upcoming fight with Terence Crawford on July 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The two will finally clash after years of being the top two fighters in the welterweight division of boxing. The winner of the match will be the undisputed champion of the 147-pound weight class.
Spence Jr. confidently claimed that the match's winner would be the world's number 1 pound-for-pound fighter.
"Definitely, the winner of this fight will be the best fighter in boxing, period," the 33-year-old said.
Spence Jr. holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF welterweight titles, while Crawford is the WBO welterweight champion.
Their match is widely regarded as the most anticipated fight in the sport since Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao faced off in the sport's most lucrative battle in 2015.

Errol Spence Jr.'s near-embarrassing moment
During his comeback fight against Yordenis Ugas in April 2022 after more than a year of layoff, Spence Jr. revealed that he was trying to avoid a potentially embarrassing moment during the match.
Spence said he had a partial denture in his teeth that he kept gluing daily to prevent the dental insert from flying out.
"[During] the 6th round he hit me and my mouthpiece came out, but I'm thinking that my teeth came out. Man, that would of been super embarrassing. It's gonna be memed everywhere, it's gonna be all over social media," Spence Jr. shared.
