Nothing is set in stone yet, but the way Real Madrid employees behave, it looks like they know more than the media about Kylian Mbappe's proposed move to Bernabeu.

The French star's name has been on the rumor mill since the start of the summer season, and Real Madrid are expected to have the superstar by the beginning of the season.

Other clubs, like Arsenal, hope to have a young football superstar, but according to football insider Manu Sainz, Los Blancos employees have the notion that Mbappe will join them soon.

"The general understanding has been that they are happy to wait until next summer unless a PSG and Mbappe come to the negotiating table with a proposal," Football Espana quoted Sainz.

Employees at the club believe Mbappe will be presented as a Real Madrid player between the first and the third of August. He is clear that it is a rumor amongst the club rather than information from above, but that is the feeling.

PSG and Mbappe's relationship

Mbappe leaving PSG will not surprise many, given how his relationship with the French club turned sour over the past weeks.

Paris St. Germain CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi even set an ultimatum for Mbappe to sign a new deal.

"If he doesn't want to sign a new contract, the door is open," Al-Khelaifi told reporters two weeks ago.

"That's how it is for him and for everyone else. No one is bigger than the club, no player, not even me. That's very clear."
