Marcus Rashford is set to remain with Manchester United after signing a new contract, which would keep him at Old Trafford until June 2028.
The 25-year-old was handed by the Red Devils a deal worth $100 million over the next five years, roughly translating to $388,000 in weekly wages.
The forward posted a photo on social media during the contract signing with the caption, "This is home."
Rashford joined the club's youth academy as a seven-year-old in 2005 and broke through to the first team in 2015.
Widely considered one of the best forwards in the world, Rashford scored 30 goals and dished out 11 assists in 56 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions during the 2022/23 season.
Wayne Rooney backs Marcus Rashford to break scoring record
Wayne Rooney, the Red Devils' all-time top goalscorer and current manager of MLS club DC United, has backed Rashford to break his record.
Rooney netted 253 goals in 559 appearances wearing the red shirt, while Rashford now has 123 goals in 359 appearances.
The 37-year-old hopes that Rashford will bring Manchester United back to their glory days of regularly winning the Premier League, reaching the deep stages of the Champions League, and reaching the same level as contemporaries Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
"I think Marcus Rashford is an incredible talent. I am delighted he signed a new deal. I think the next five years for him is going to be real important in his legacy," Rooney said.
