MLB is a long season, the second half just started, and that is what New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone is banking on as he maintains his patience.
The team lost their series against Colorado Rockies, the last one in the most gut-wrenching fashion.
Reporters asked Boone about the team's woes, and he appeared tired of the questions about their recent losses.
"It's baseball," Boone said.
"Major League Baseball. Save it with that question. We've got two and a half months to put ourselves in a position to be championship-caliber. It's on us. We've got to go prove that."

The team did not win any of its last four series. They went 1-2 against the Rockies, 1-2 against the Chicago Cubs, 2-2 against the Baltimore Orioles, and 1-2 against St. Louis Cardinals with one game postponed.
Aaron Judge, the great hope
The loss of Aaron Judge to injury is felt on the defensive end, but fans can keep their fingers crossed.
The 2022 AL MVP said, "we're getting close" regarding his return to the pitch.
"I kind of wanted to test it here in the Mile High City a little bit,' Judge said a few days ago.
"If you're asking how I'm feeling and how we're progressing, we're progressing well. We're getting close."
Boone said there is a shot that his star is back this month but does not want to be so sure.
"I'm not going to put a timeframe on this. He's doing well. He'll be ready when he's ready."
