Aaron Rodgers spent almost his entire career being among, if not the best, quarterbacks in the NFL but this time with the New York Jets, he might not even be in the Top 5 of the American Football Conference.

At least, according to Bucky Brooks.

The former NFL player shared his thoughts on the AFC QB Ranking done by the NFL Total Access, and he believes that Rodgers, at 39 years old, no longer has the prime years he had while he was with the Green Bay Packers, his team for 17 years.

Brooks' top five are last season's Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Joe Burrow of Cincinnati Bengals, Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

What was his reasoning behind the rankings? Rodgers' last three years.

"When I look at him on tape, I have seen the decline," he said in the show.

"And the numbers match up with what you see on the tape. Completion percentage down each of the last three years. Passing rating down over the last three years. Passing yards per game down over the last three years."

Rodgers is a four-time NFL MVP, with the last two coming in 2020 and 2021.

Rodgers's different physique coming into the season

This statement by Brooks will be judged by the end of the season, but for now, it looks Rodgers himself is out to prove something.

Fans can't help but gush over the changed physique of the star quarterback during training, as seen in the photos released by Proactive Sports Performance.

"Pissed off Aaron Rodgers ready to prove people wrong. CANT WAIT," one user said.

"This man has got so much gas left in him," another user commented.
