Tonight at 8:25 p.m on NFL Network, the Week 14 edition features two teams in the AFC South cellar, the Houston Texans (2-10) and Jacksonville Jaguars (3-9). Live stream the game by clicking this link; Texans fans can listen to the game on 100.3 The Bull, while Jags fans can tune in to WTEV-47 CBS.

This matchup may not be the juiciest Thursday game on the NFL's slate, but football fans should still tune in for a good clash between Jacksonville wide receiver Cecil Shorts and Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph.

Shorts will be playing like a man on fire after Texans receiver Andre Johnson called losing to the Jags the "lowest point" of his career earlier this year. Houston running back Ben Tate also dissed Jacksonville saying he was "very embarrassed and bad for the city (of Houston)."

"I couldn't care less what (our opponents) think," Shorts said. "It's the NFL. You're going to win or lose each week. You've got to bring your best that week. For us, we're getting better. We've been 3-1 since the bye week, so if they've got a problem with it, come see us."

Shorts is averaging 11.9 yards per catch this year, and has reeled in 64 passes for 764 yards and two scores in 2013, so he's earned the right to talk some smack right back.

His players' comments aside, Houston coach Gary Kubiak is not dismissive at all of the Jaguars. "I think he's done a great job," Kubiak said of Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley. "He's had them playing hard all year long and consistent. And these last few weeks, they've played extremely well."

Houston has lost 10 straight games, and Shorts believes strongly his squad will push that to 11. "It's like we're a more confident team," Shorts said.

"We're going into games expecting to win and expecting to do well during the games. ... We're growing up and we're coming on."
