Manchester United are moving from David de Gea after 12 years.
Enter Andre Onana, the Cameroonian goalkeeper that reports say will surely move to Old Trafford as the Spaniard's replacement.
Onana showed out for Inter Milan in Serier A and put Europe on notice after his stellar plays in the Champions League, including the finals game that Manchester City won.
It is easy to be excited about a new goalkeeper, but Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand has some hot takes about Onana.
The 27-year-old is known for his showboating and can definitely play in midfield. This feature of his playing style will keep Manchester United fans anxious.
"He gets the ball in, brings on the press says 'come on, come to me' and when that player comes to him he knows there's a player free somewhere else and he normally finds them," Ferdinand explained during an appearance at FIVE.
"I think there will be mistakes and playing that risky way you do have mistakes and that happens, but it's about staying true to your beliefs, finding the right balance and remaining calm throughout those periods."
Ferdinand, however, insisted that Onana is a perfect fit for manager Erik Ten Hag's team as he will give the Red Devils more confidence to play from the back.
Why is De Gea leaving?
Fans had a hard time seeing De Gea walk away, but according to reports, the two camps did not settle on a new deal with the player's contract expiring this year.
Ten Hag is reportedly not keen on bringing the 32-year-old back since his strategies need a goalkeeper to bring the ball on his feet.
Onana and Ten Hag know each other's style very well, as they were together in Ajax for four years.
