Jordan Love will come in the new season as Green Bay Packers' number one QB.
He undeniably has big shoes to fill, as the team is just coming off fruitful years with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, who is now with the New York Jets.
But Love does not need to be afraid as defender Rashan Gary assures that the whole team got his back.
Gary was at The Rich Eisen Show to discuss the team's preparation. He was specifically asked what the team can expect after losing Rodgers.
He said nothing has changed, and he is also excited to see Jordan Love take the mantle from the four-time MVP.
"He has the respect of his teammates and he has everybody ready to go to war for him," Gary said when asked about Love's readiness as a playoff QB.
He added that the 24-year-old QB is already doing what a veteran does in a team.
"How he's handling the huddle, how everybody's listening to him. He's calling for protection. He's breaking it down and checking it back to what he said."
Love is ready to create for Packers
Love, for his part, knows that his job as QB for the Packers comes with so much pressure.
"There's only so many of you. So everyone's watching you. Everyone's watching every move you make on the field, so it's pressure," he said last May.
He also cherishes the time he spent with Rodgers, who offered him advice and told him to ask for help if he ever needed it.
