The Green Bay Packers may have an undeniably significant peace coming into the 2023-2024 season, but that does not change the team's status in the NFC, according to Elgton Jenkins.
Aaron Rodgers was Packers' quarterback in the last 17 years but was traded to the New York Jets at the end of the 2023 season.
Despite his departure, Jenkins believes the NFC is still for their taking.
"Three NFC North titles, it's always the standard in our locker room and in our building," the 27-year-old 2019 draft pick told NFL.com.
"We feel like we're the best team in our division, and we're gonna go out there every week wherever and show that we are the best team in the division and the best team in the NFC."
Packers topped the NFC standings eight times since 2011, with Rodgers bagging four MVP awards during those years.
Love takes the wheel
Filling in for the role vacated by Rodgers is Jordan Love, who was drafted in 2020.
Love only played ten games in the last three seasons, but his teammates are optimistic about his play.
"When he first got in the league, he wasn't our starter, but the way that he walked around the locker room, the way that he approached the game, he always approached every game as a starter," Jenkins said in the same interview.
"So we know that he's a good player and just ready to go on Sunday or whenever we play."
