Free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins made a major revelation regarding his retirement plans from the NFL.

The 31-year-old mentioned on social media that he will retire from the sport once he is no longer a 1,000-yard receiver.

Hopkins was also proud that he only sustained one major injury in the last 11 years, and he was on pace for 1,400 yards last year, finishing with 64 receptions for 717 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in nine games for the 2022 season.

He was suspended for the first six games of last season after violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy.

The three-time First Team All-Pro selection ended his statement by declaring that he might be playing until age 37, judging by how he feels.

DeAndre Hopkins Top Free Agent Remaining

Hopkins is considered the top free agent available in the market at this point in July. Several NFL teams have shown interest, including the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, and his former team, Houston Texans.

The Texans selected the wide receiver as the 27th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent his first seven seasons in Houston, with all of his First Team All-Pro selections coming during his tenure with the Texans.

He was traded in March 2020 to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and some draft picks in what many analysts called one of the worst trades of all time for the Texans.
