Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen came to Stefon Diggs' defense after the latter was being scandalized by fans and media for missing a mandatory camp.
The 28-year-old wide receiver did not show up in a June camp, as confirmed by coach Sean McDermott.
The incident was from three weeks ago, and Allen thinks people are putting too much thought into it.
Allen appeared in Bussin' With The Boys podcast and was asked about the Diggs' situation. He quickly refuted the wrong claims about his teammates and suggested that the media was overreacting.
"I love him. He's my guy. The media has blown this so far out of proportion," he said.

He added that spectators need to calm down as it is only the offseason.
"We're not playing a game for four months," he continued.
"He doesn't show up for one day. He's still there. Coach asked him to go home. We were in talks and discussions in trying to resolve some things. It was not anything major."
Allen's comment quashes rumored 'rift' with Diggs
Diggs and Allen are two of the Buffalo Bills' main players, and fans and media alike had a feast when the former sent out a cryptic tweet after missing the mini-camp.
Some pointed out that it could be because he was not targeted enough by Allen in the game against Cincinnati Bengals. It is a personal issue between them.
"So you would think that a player of his caliber with the relationship that he has with Josh Allen, in those moments, he would look to him more often, more often," former NFL quarterback and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III said.
Of course, that is speculation. Diggs joined the camp the next day, and Allen is not hung up by such details.
