One week after dining with several Spurs legends, such as David Robinson and Tim Duncan, rookie Victor Wembanyama was spotted again eating out with another franchise legend. This time, it was with his fellow countryman Tony Parker.

Wembanyama's French agent Jeremy Medjana posted a picture of the rookie eating lunch with the 2007 NBA Finals MVP while the two watched basketball footage on a tablet.

The 7-foot-3 center previously expressed his country's admiration for the former French star after the Spurs won the NBA Draft Lottery last May, having the chance to select the consensus #1 prospect.

"There's a special relation between France and the Spurs because of Tony [Parker] and Boris [Diaw]. I know half of the country, maybe if not, the whole country wanted the Spurs to have the first pick," the 19-year-old said.

Parker subsequently posted a picture of a young Wembanyama wearing his Spurs jersey, saying he is "so proud" of the youngster.

The number 1 overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft officially signed his first NBA contract with the Spurs.

The Frenchman has inked a four-year rookie-scale contract worth $55.1 million, including $24.9 million guaranteed. The final two years of the deal are team options, according to Spotrac.

Wembanyama is set to make $12.1 million in salary in his rookie year, gradually increasing yearly until the end of the contract.
