The Golden State Warriors reportedly tried to contact the Toronto Raptors for a potential Jordan Poole-OG Anunoby swap before trading for Chris Paul, according to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic.

Anunoby averaged 16.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals in the 2022-23 NBA season. The British forward led the league in steals.

However, the Raptors were not interested in the Warriors' proposal for the 6-foot-7 wing.

Golden State also talked with the Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs about a possible Jordan Poole transaction, but they could not develop a good trade that would benefit both teams.

The San Francisco-based squad eventually agreed with the Washington Wizards to acquire point guard Chris Paul, a longtime rival of the squad.

OG Anunoby Hires New Agent

Anunoby is moving on from his longtime agent Klutch Sports Group, as he enters a crucial offseason next year.

He has been affiliated with the Rich Paul-founded agency since September 2020, and they helped him close a four-year, $72 million deal with the Raptors in December of that year.

The contract kicked in during the 2021-22 NBA season, but the final year is a player option. Anunoby could opt out of his 2024-25 season option to become a free agent a year from now.

The Raptors forward has chosen Los Angeles-based Creative Artists Agency LLC (CAA) as his current representation.
