LeBron James is set to star alongside Kevin Hart in the basketball comedy Ballers, according to Deadline.com.

Produced by Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg, the Universal Picture backed project stars Hart as a man trapped in the shadows of his NBA superstar brother, only to stumble upon the chance to prove himself when he and pals attend a weekend fantasy basketball camp in Miami.

With Hart standing at just 5'3" and the two-time reigining league MVP at 6'8", Deadline.com reports not since Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the Universal-backed comedy Twins has such an on-air size discrepancy been so pronouced between two performers co-starring on the screen as brothers.

The website adds James has been looking to make his acting debut in this role for more than two years now but the project has taken more time than originally expected to take flight.

An avid NBA fan, Hart is now starring with hip hop star Ice Cube in the film Ride Along and recently completed a reboot of the cult classic About Last Night. He is also starring with Chris Rock in the upcoming Finally Famous.

James will also serve as exec producer on the film, along with business partner Maverick Carter.
