The NBA offseason can make fans restless as they wish for their team to make significant movements to improve or contend.

For players, the trade season can be tiring, too. Just ask Tobias Harris.

The Philadelphia 76ers forward was recently asked about his opinion on trade rumors, and he is definitely not amused.

"Trade speculation, you know, casual Sixers fans, they'll trade me for a Crumbl Cookie," Harris said when asked by NBC Sports Philadelphia.

The Sixers exited the playoffs in the semifinal round for the fifth time in six seasons, and fans are both looking for someone to blame and ways to improve.

Many of them point to Harris, who also carries with him a huge salary that they think has to be dumped so that the team can sign a marquee player to build around 2023 MVP Joel Embiid and 2018 MVP James Harden.

Harris knows his worth

The 30-year-old forward, signed by the Sixers in 2019, knows trade is part of the business but insists that he knows his worth, and that is something fans overlook.

"But at the end of the day, they have to realize, like, you know, you're not getting a 6'9" forward back who can, you know, damn near shoot 40 percent from three, guard other teams' best player, shoot, post-up, drive, play 70-plus games a year."

Harris is entering the last year of his $180-million, five-year contract. He is set to be paid $37 million next season.

He finished the 2023 season averaging 15.3 PPG and 7.3 RPG in the playoffs, slightly better than his production in the regular season.
