Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons declared himself the king of the jungle and challenged his rivals to visit the territory he dominates.
Parsons, who won the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year, is turning out to be one of the strongest players in the league ever since his arrival.
He has now grown more confident with his skills, and he believes other players got nothing on him.
"If you go to a safari, you see buses pull up on lions, and the lion never flinches," Parsons said as quoted by Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
"Why? Because they're king. They're not going to flinch. Please come visit, you're more than welcome. I'm OK with feeling uncomfortable. That's how you evolve."
Parsons has played only two seasons so far. He already made 106 solo tackles, 43 assists, 26.5 sacks, and 3 fumble recoveries, as per StatMuse.
Backing up the talk
The Cowboys star is trying to get into the opponents' minds for the upcoming season, but that is not the only thing he's doing.
Parsons is spending his offseason trying to get to 255 pounds from the current 248. He said the weight gain would help him in his defensive assignments.
He also added boxing to his off-season workouts and has a good explanation.
"I got tired of people punching me in my face," he said during an appearance with select reporters.
"I'm a smaller end, and these guys are long. Just learning how to keep my hands up, knocking it down, defending my chest, defending my face, and just being smooth."
