"Me and Steph have known each other a long time. My wife was at his wedding, I think him and his wife was at our wedding... I'm excited to get a chance to play alongside him.”

Andrews mentioned that Paul was one of the first people to reach out to Curry when he entered the league. Paul said their wives attended each other's weddings, and he is excited to play for the Warriors, whom he called an "unbelievable organization."
The two are deadlocked with a 9-9 record against each other in the playoffs. They faced each other in three playoff series. Paul, a member of the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014, eliminated the Warriors in seven games in 2014.
Curry got the better of Paul in their heated subsequent two playoff encounters when the Warriors eliminated the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals in 2018 and the Western Conference Semifinals in 2019.
