Aliyah Boston, this year's first overall selection in the draft by the Indiana Fever, proved early in her WNBA career that she belongs among the biggest names in the league.
Just in: Fever rookie center Aliyah Boston is a WNBA All-Star starter. She has only played in 13 games but is one of the best players in the league already. Boston is averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

After winning Rookie of the Month honors in May and winning Player of the Week for the week of June 20, the 21-year-old forward/center was selected for the 2023 WNBA All-Star Game, becoming only the eighth rookie in WNBA history to receive the honor and the first one since 2014.
Aside from making it into the game, she was also named a starter, becoming the sixth rookie ever to do it.
The 6-foot-5 Boston teammates were immensely proud, and they congratulated her for the rare feat in a video posted by the Indiana Fever page.
"That's freaking incredible."
